tl;dr

  • 📍 Convenient NE Portland (Lloyd Center) location
  • 👥 Small group, lots of individualized attention
  • 🙌 Passionate, welcoming instructors
  • 🏢 Great indoor option

Like NWCT, Brickdiculous is a staple in our camp rotation—easy from NE Portland and always a hit. Ford is a LEGO superfan who loves building, modifying, and rebuilding from scratch. Add Dungeons & Dragons and he’s a literal happy camper.

Getting In: Lloyd Center Directions

Morning arrivals can be tricky if the mall’s main doors are locked. Here’s the route that works reliably:

  • Drive to the top of the parking garage (as if you’re heading to Jumbo’s).
  • Enter through the doors just south of the Jumbo’s entrance.
  • Take the elevator in the middle of the food court (mostly defunct) down one level, then exit right.

Why Brickdiculous Is a Go-To

James and Jared (who run the store and the camps) are some of the friendliest people you’ll meet—genuinely welcoming and enthusiastic. The vibe fosters creativity, teamwork, and confidence. Brickdiculous also hosts events and birthday parties, so your LEGO enthusiast can keep building year-round.

Program Snapshot: LEGO + D&D

I’ll admit I’m not a DnD expert, so I won’t pretend to decode campaign details. What mattered: Ford had a great time and loved how the game was run. The week was split into two groups by experience level, and no prior DnD knowledge was required—perfect for beginners and returning players alike.

Good to Know

  • Expect small groups, which means more coach feedback and collaboration.
  • It’s an excellent indoor option—ideal for hot days, rainy weeks, or wildfire smoke days.
  • Parking is straightforward on the garage top deck when you follow the route above.

Brickdiculous blends passionate instruction, small-group attention, and a convenient NE Portland location—a winning combo for LEGO lovers and curious DnD newcomers. Learn more and sign up for Brickdiculous activities at schoolsoutapp.com.
